I live in NE Florida and have a friend who offered me her 2000 ES300
Lexus 4 dr sedan. It has 125,000 miles and she has taken good care of
it. She wants $8000 for the car. My problem is I don't know much about
Lexus except that it has a good reputation for reliability and is
supposed to be a luxury car. Does this sound like a good deal?

I think it is an excellent deal for her.

Check blue book values. You can use the internet to check edmunds.com
and so on.

Just off the top of my head, it sounds pretty good, but do your research
first.

check out suggest private party sale values at kelly blue book:

www.kbb.com

or for comparison, check with edmunds.com

www.edmunds.com

prices are based on zip code so for my area, that's a low price but it
may be high based on your zip code.
