"Toyota Motor Corp. announced it would recall 412,000 vehicles today
for steering issues -- in its 13 and 14th recall campaigns of 2010.

The new recalls mean Toyota has recalled more than 5 million vehicles
in 2010 in the United States -- and the company has surpassed the 4.8
million vehicles it recalled in 2009.

The new recalls includes 373,000 2000-2004 Toyota Avalon models to
address concerns the vehicle's steering lock bar could break under
certain conditions.

The company said it first received a report in Japan of possible
problems in October 2007 -- and another report in December 2008 in the
United States. "Toyota believed that this was another isolated case,"
the company told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
today.

Toyota also said it will recall 39,000 2003-2007 Lexus LX 470 vehicles
to address a steering shaft issue.

This is good news. Name another car maker that pays such close attention to
defects.

yea real close attention the cars affected are 2003 avalons, there were
rumors for years that toyota was covering up defects. they are all coming
out now. Toyota makes cars as good as everyone else they all use most of
the same suppliers they need to come down off their high horse that some
have put them on. secret recalls, my sister in law had a corolla that
wouldn’t start when I opened the hood there were a lot of sparkling new
parts showing, she said when she takes it in for service they replace them
they tell her its customer service. what happens if you don’t take it to a
toyota dealer, this car was out of warrenty.

Ferrari - when they've been photographed on fire. More than *once*
with one current model. Beat *that* for precentages with any car.

A family of six died screaming for help in a Ford Explorer six days
ago. But it wasn't Ford's fault, thus no need for a recall. Blame
the tire company. Here the buck is yours buddy! hehehe.... No! Wait
its not our fault it's yours! No its not mine, its yours!

Same thing going on with BP / Haliburton / Transocean Gulf Oil Spill
dispute. Here the buck is yours buddy! hehehe.. no wait, we don't
have to clean it up, you do!

Bush and Cheney politics.

Buy Ford vehicles. Support Dick Cheney. Be his friend. He promises
not to shoot your face.

For those who know what I do for a living (I am a producer of
DiseasePorn, a niche genre of the film industry where our actors have
all sorts of unattractive diseases and miscellaneous afflictions).

Well last week, Ford contacted me about including some complementary
DVDs that will play in the Nav system of their new Fiesta!

We closed on the deal and my agent is finalizing the paperwork. What's
more, you'll get to see me do a monologue on disc #1, with full-on
frontal shots of me showing the warty full monte!

Have you driven a ford lately? lolz
