Has anyone had experiences with paintless dent removal at a lexus dealer? My
'06 330 got a dent on top of the trunk (how did that happen?) and I'd like
to know about how much $$ I should expect to sacrifice...

In all probability the dealer employes an outside contractor to undertake
the work.
You therefore pay the contractors bill plus the dealer mark up

Find your own contractor/specialist, I did

It would probably be cheaper to buy a whole new car than have them do
body work. The local stealership quoted me a price of $200 to paint
four small schratches on my bumper, each less than 1/8" X 1/8".

WOW. WHATTA SHOCKER!!!

Brewski has yet another complaint about Lexus. Just incredible!

Why in the world do you own one of these if you hate absolutely every aspect
about them? Please please please go buy an american car and I'm sure you
won't have anything to complain about. And while you're at it, why don't
you ask them what it would cost to do a repair on a scratch? $50 seems
pretty reasonable to me. Of course, you could always just buy some touchup
paint and do it yourself. But hey, I'm sure you'd find something wrong with
that as well.

Jeez.

group MUCH more interesting and enjoyable.

He's a troll and will (eventually) go away if no one takes his stinky
bait and replies to his posts.

As old man suggested, you can find your own paintless dent removal
contractor. I've used Dent Wizard with excellent results. I used to
inspect cars for body damage and could not tell where the dent was when they
were done. They charge based on the size of the dent. I think I paid
around $150 for a 4 inch dent in a door and was out of the shop in about an
hour.

What do you mean by a contractor in this case? I searched Dent Wizard's web
site for service locations in my area. DW lists either dealers or body
shops. So, are you saying I better go to one of those body shops?

I'd recommend not looking for "Dent Wizards" but instead, look for
"paintless dent removal". There should be tons of independent shops
in your area.

Most places do not charge for estimates, so you can go to one of those body
shops and ask for an estimate, or search "paintless dent removal" as Max
suggested.
